How to Identify your Computer System or Motherboard | If you need some help this is the starting point

Identifying the correct model number of your computer or motherboard is essential to finding the correct upgrades, especially for laptops and servers. If you are unsure of the make or model of your system you can follow these easy steps to find the specific model number for your computer.

Apple

We need your Model ID. Click on the Apple on the top left of your screen. Then click More Information button. Then scroll down for System Report. On this report will have the Model ID such as MacbookPro16,1.

If you are using Windows then go to System Information. Your model number is usually here under Baseboard product, Baseboard manufacturer.
